HOME > About us
"Crosscultural coexistence" is a primary word for tomorrow and that the future societies are expectantly heading for. Mutual understanding of cultures, customs and languages regardless of nationality and race is fundamental to international exchange for growth of those who have different histories and living environments.
We launched the instructor-designed Japanese language education system in 1977. Tokyo Central Japanese Language School (TCJ) was established in 1988 and has engaged in profound study for "true crosscultural communication" through Japanese language education. We believe that through mutual understanding of countries and races "prompting individuals to gain liberal awareness" and "developing a true cosmopolitan person who grows through mutual support" are our missions.
TCJ's three mainstays are Japanese education to international students from 60 countries worldwide, Japanese instructor training, and adaptive education (impart knowledge to coexist among foreign and Japanese people). Moreover, TCJ's policy is to place importance on and implement the education of "minds" in addition to language education. Our outstanding faculty and staff will welcome and support all of you individually in many ways like a family member and best friend to assure stress-free life in Japan.
TCJ encourages you to acquire great command of Japanese through our top-level Japanese language education and to become a true cosmopolitan person who shoulders "global peace" and "multicultural coexistence".
Initials "TCJ" of Tokyo Central Japanese Language School are figured for school emblem. The letters of TCJ wrapping and holding the earth in the emblem describe that many people sustain and wrap our earth with their hands warmly. The emblem also shows that people are talking face to face and that green trees are lustily growing heavenwards. Three circles around the letters are added in hope that "harmony among people" increases and expands strongly.
