Q & A

What should I do if I get sick in Japan?
Although medical care cost is high in Japan, medical treatment is provided at reasonable cost if you apply for the national health insurance and international student insurance. Please contact your class teacher if you need to take medical treatment. Your teacher will assist you in finding a proper medical institution.
How much should I expect for living expense?
It is probably about 60,000 to 100,000 yen a month besides tuition. Saving is feasible, but we suggest that you move to Japan well in advance financially that results in the accomplishment of your better academic career.
Can I work part-time?
None of students are allowed to work part-time, except a student who is excellent in school attendance and grade. How is the weather in Tokyo? Any suggestions?
It is comfortable in the spring and fall, but you need to take care for clothes in the summer and winter. You are also suggested to take extra care for health control and food because of high temperatures and humidity in the rainy season (June to July).
What are the procedures if I have to return home temporarily?
If you, with your resident status valid, return home without receiving "reentry permit", you lose your resident status, which your reentry to Japan will be denied. Please be sure to contact your class teacher as the need arises.
Is it feasible to go on to university?
The high percentage of TCJユs students who go on to a higher stage of education has been displayed. Attentive counseling by a class teacher is scheduled later in the course. Please feel free to consult your teacher on any questions or concerns about proceeding to higher education.
