Application for College Visa

Tokyo Central Japanese Language School (TCJ) welcome all who are interested in Japanese language study in Japan. If an applicant wishes to study in Japan as a full-time student, he or she needs College Visa. Please follow the following process for your visa application.

Application Procedure:

Submit all the required documents by the due date (bellow).
A registration fee (21,000 yen) must be paid through bank transfer as you send the application form and necessary documents.
TCJ applies for the Certificate of Eligibility to the Immigration Bureau.
(The certificate will be issued in approximately 3 months)
Fees for first year (total: 679,000 yen) must be paid as the Certificate of Eligibility is issued by the Immigration Bureau.
After we confirm your payment, we will send you the Certificate of Eligibility.
Visit the Japan embassy at your country with the Certificate of Eligibility, your passport and other necessary documents, so that they can issue your College Visa.
*Please confirm the detail to Japanese embassy.
Receive College Visa at the embassy.

Fees:

*5% Tax is included.
*All fees are non-refundable and must be paid in advance.

Due date for the Application:

Due date for the Application	April semester	he end of October of the last year
	July semester	the end of February
	October semester	the end of April
	January semester	the end of August of the last year末

Japanese language course at TCJ is basically a two years course. The diploma will be issued only for those who have completed 2 years study at TCJ.

NOTICE!!
The Immigration Bureau of Japan does not receive two or more applications simultaneously from the same person. When you have applied for an another school and other status of residence, please be sure to tell the personnel of TCJ in advance.

Required Documents for Application [Certificate of Eligibility/College]

Documents about applicant

TCJ application form filled by applicant’s hand
Personal records (submitted to the Immigration Bureau) filled by an applicant
6 portrait photos (taken within three months, 4cm*3cm)
Certificates of your graduation diplomas (original)
Transcript from applicant’s last school
Certificate of Japanese language test result; JLPT, NAT-Test, J-Test, etc.
Certificate of attendance of a Japanese course including level, duration, hours
Certificate of student registration (if you attend any school now)
Certificate of occupation (if you work now)
Photocopy of your passport 　　 (If you have previous visit to Japan, please include the copy of the visa and stamps of Japan)
Certificate of applicant’s family register

You need to attach the following documents if you have a financial supporter except for yourself.Documents about sponsor

Letter of payment expenses (filled in by your sponsor)
Certificate of sponsor’s bank balance in his/her account (original)
Income tax documents (original; 3 year’s)
Certificates of occupation
License of business (If sponsor runs own business.)
Documents to certify a relationship between applicant and sponsor
*If a sponsor is applicant’s parent: Photocopies of birth certification of applicant *If a sponsor is applicant’s uncle/aunt: Photocopies of birth certification of applicant, parent, and sponsor.
Certificate of sponsor’s family register

*Please attach translated documents in Japanese or English.
*All official documents should be issued within up to 3 months.
